Nashville, Tennessee

What to see and do in Nashville TN.

WOW! Nashville, TN has so much to offer visitors of every age. From the honky tonks that grace Broadway to the Grand Ole Opry there is much to see, do and taste. The great legends of country music have walked her streets, played in her honky tonks as well as the infamous Ryman Auditorium. No longer is Nashville synonomus with country music but music of many genres.

My adventure took place during the Summer of 2022 over a long weekend. I chose and Air BnB in the Germantown section of Nashville, far enough away from the parties on Broadway but a short Uber ride to all the action.

Country Music Hall of Fame

My trip was carefully planned, I was able to get in most of the activites that were on my itinerary. Some I sadly missed but that leaves room for another trip to Music City. Pack your bags and join me on this adventure to Music City, Nashville, Tennessee.

Where to Eat

Hattie B's Nashville is renowned for its Hot Chicken. Almost every restaurant offers some type of Hot Chicken dish. Hot meaning “spicy” not cold in preparation. You may order your desired level of heat. I’m a wimp and ordered mild. TIP don’t wait online order from the app. Unless you want to sit at a table then the wait can be up to 2 hours.
The Stillery LOVED this place. I had lunch after my visit to the Johnny Cash Museum Downtown. All the food leaving the kitchen looked fantastic. I selected the Hot Chicken Pizza. During this adventure I was looking to try unique preparations of Hot Chicken and this pizza as a hit. I would have loved to try the Hot Chicken Cuban and Tacos but maybe next time.
Assembly Food Hall Not your average food court, Assembly Food Hall offers many types of cuisine, cocktails, desserts, and of course music…oh and shopping too. I may have bought a pair of Ariat boots💝..I couldn’t resisit. I need them for my trip in December to Vegas for the rodeo finals. Anyway, I selected Velvet Tacos for dinner that evening. This should be a must stop during your stay.
Velvet Taco Watch the video..I ate it all. YUM
Sixty Vines This is not a budget friendly restaurant but it was worth every penny. I love that all the wine is on tap and available in different size pours. You may create your own wine tasting dinner. Sixty Vines is located on the third floor of AFH.
Pharmacy Burger They have a location in Assembly Food Hall and East Nashville. I went to the East Nashville location for the Stroganoff Burger not offered at AFH. Burger, messy but delish, fries awesome. Try It.
Donut Distillery They too have a location in AFH but do not offer the cocktail pairing so I took and Uber to East Nashville and did not regret it. Who would have thought to pair donuts and beer, intentionally? Get creative or order as they have planned out.
Biscuit Love My biscuit was OK nothing I would run back nor the Bellini. I did catch a few dishes coming out of the kitchen and on patrons tables and it looked good. Get there early they only serve brunch 7 am-3pm in The Gulch.

Hop on and Off Trolley is the best bet to see and learn about the city

Make your own candy at Goo Goo Candy Factory in The Gulch

And non-stop fun…
